This form of couching is useful for filling in large spaces in which a
flat un-textured background is required.
To work this stitch, make a long stitch covering the length of the
pattern and bring the needle out to the left of the thread. Now make a
small stitch over the long thread inserting the thread on the right and
bringing out again on the left , keeping the thread above the needle.
The process continues till you reach end of the long stitch using these
smaller stitched fastening the long one.
